Joined the 50th ( The Queens Own ) Regiment ( Service No. 4321), as a Private, reported to have served in the Crimean War. Following his conviction at Court Martial, he was to spend 16 months incarcerated in Colombo, Millbank and Chatham Prisons, prior to transportation to Australia. Married Sarah WOODLEY, in 1875 at Bunbury, WA. Refer Police Gazette February 1888. Employed by James BROWN of Murray/Serpentine from 05/1868 as a Labourer. ( Refer WABI Cards ). Employed by Fred HIGGINS of Dardanup/Wellington from 07/1868 and from 10/1869- 06/1870 as a General Servant. ( Refer WABI Cards ). He is recorded as having worked for R.G. ROSE at Parkfield and J. MILLIGAN at Australind. Employed by W. READING at " Runnymede ", Wellington from 08/1873 as a Splitter ( Refer WABI Cards ). Employed by John SWALLOW of Vasse/Sussex from 03/1892 as a General Servant. ( Refer WABI Cards ). Buried in Roman Catholic Section BB, Gravesite No. 0057 of Karrakatta Cemetery, Perth, WA.
