Additional Information

BUTLER had absconded from the Colony after approval of his first Ticket of Leave and was subsequently arrested in England in 1856. He was found guilty of returning to England prior to completing his full term of imprisonment. His sentence of 20 years for this crime, was commuted to 10 years on 18/10/1858.
