Additional Information

For Details of Court Case refer to Glasgow Gazette of Saturday 26 April, 1851, Page 2. Co-convicted Robert KYLE ( 5186 ), was also sentenced to 14 years Transportation and joined AARON on the William Jardine voyage to Australia. Thomas AARON sent a Comprehensive petition to the Principal Secretary of State ( Received on 25 November, 1851 ), for Leniency, in relation to sentencing for the charged offences, however, this petition was unsuccessful. AARON was a Prisoner in Millbank Prison, at the time. Sincere thanks to Marcia WATSON for forwarding me documentation, to allow me to provide this brief additional summary.
