Following Information provided by Ann KENT (great great Grand Daughter of Frederick HUTCHINS ). 1855- Arrived in Busselton. 23/09/1861- Married Mary SCANLAN aka SCANLON at Wonnerup, WA. ( Witnesses were Colonel MOLLOY of Fairlawn & Mr FOX, later to become Mayor of Busselton ). 18/03/1868- Obtained Title Deed of Busselton Suburban Lot 24, 6.5 Acres of Land alongside the Causeway Road. He held this land for 22 years, from 1868-1890. Employed Henry HITCHCOCK ( 6885 ) from 23/08/1870- 31/12/1870 as a Labourer. Also Employed John ROUTH ( 6006 ) from 28/03/1871 as a Labourer. ( Refer WABI Cards ). In 1872 he was listed as a Butcher in the W.A. Almanac. In 1880, he was a Farmer at Ulijugupup ( Sabina Vale )- although no ownership of this property has been confirmed, the Family lived here for some time and may have purchased this land from an earlier settler. In 1881 he was a Mail Contractor, delivering from Busselton to Warren, south of Pemberton. In 1882 he was issued a Cattle Brand ( Govt. Gazette 1882 ) and further issued with a Horse Brand on 30 September 1882. In 1887, Frederick HUTCHINS was a foundation member of the Working Mans Association formed in Busselton. Listed as a Butcher in Busselton from 1867- 1873 and a Farmer from 1877 onwards. Employed 5 Ticket of Leave Men from 1870- 1871. ( Refer WABI Cards ).
